Padraic asked me how I was going in my Brithenig story writing.  Well I've
managed to complete the first paragraph.  So this is what an extended piece
of Brithenig text looks like.  My only qualm is where I have piled up
adjectives after the noun.  On to paragraph #2.

  Marth llo firaf di trawers.  Werdad sa ffew mefeirad syrs ill ffoil am yn
bon barth di lla fathin.  Llo llitheir phlan ddryd lla firaf aeredr di
trawers.  Pab ffoil def esser godfent ffaeth, o eilfent sa serew yn
ddifficultad.  Llo horell ffewren dręd cun yn plan tessed ysifil ke conwen
subr yn nudd compleis gleirus gwers ill funn di'll ffoil.  Bossiflfent yn
parth di'll nudd serew dew ddragun interlagad ke luithan llifrarsi di'll
carcharn yn yscrifan ffew ffaeth per lle, sa ddunarew yn suis di yn essag

THERE WERE GIANTS IN THE LAND IN THOSE DAYS

Martha frowned at it.  Indeed she had mused over the page for a good part
of the morning.  The plain bold letters frowned back at her.  Each page
must be carefully done, or else there would be problems.  The borders were
decorated with a design woven together that converged on a glorious
complicated knot toward the bottom of the page.  Possibly a part of the
knot could be two entwined dragons that wrestled to free themselves from
the prison a scribe had made for them, that would give a sense of balance
to the pattern of the page.  At the top of the page there could be an eagle
that was alighting on the letters.  Other animals could hide themselves in
the decorated pattern and the golden letters; a dog, a cat, a serpent.  It
could work.
