Re: Arthur

Hi Peter,

>My father, bless him, just loves having Jehovah's Witnesses in for coffee.

Perhaps I've mellowed too much. Though, who knows? Maybe I'll get back in
the swing, so to speak, and coffee with JWs when I retire!

>For his 70th birthday I got him a pair of Mormon elders. Boy was he in
>polemic heaven!

Yes, I bet he was! JWs don't, in fact, make great sport, so to speak, as I
don't find it over-challenging to confuse them. I suspect Mormons would
present a much better challenge. But they are considerably rarer than JWs
in the UK. Did your Dad offer the Mormons coffee, knowing well that they
won't drink it? ;-)

>I find what Andrew is doing to be quite plausible and incredibly exciting.
>As I have said ad nauseam, Brithenig is a brilliant endeavor. My problem
>is impatience.

One generally gets more patient with age also - but not always. Some
contributers to the AUXLANG listing sorely test my patience!

>Right now however, I have a looseleaf binder of bits and pieces of things

I think this is the only way to go at the moment. Until a language is
actually used, one can never be sure the whole thing will work exactly as
expected. It's rather like writing a computer program - another thing I
love doing - one can never be sure every bug has been nailed until the
thing actually gets used. So I don't think Brythenig is really at a stage
where a substantial TY could be written.

>Anyway, I don't daunt easily, and I will continue to work with the Page and

:-)

Ray.
PS - odd signature is due largely to polemics on AUXLANG.
The Greek means: I'm growing old, but keeping on learning many things all
the time.
