Geoff Eddy's Q-Celtic Conlang

Hello, conlangers.

I have the honor of announcing the appearance of a new conlang by Geoff
Eddy which he has asked me to post to the listserv when he saw from the
archives that I was interested in the P-Celts.  As you know, we have
another prominent Celtic conlang in Andrew Smith's Brithenig, but unless
there are some lurkers out there who haven't spoken up, I'm not sure
anyone has done a "goidelic"-influenced conlang.  So mind your P's and
Q's--there's a huge difference between them.  My bag's Welsh, and I've
borrowed a number of its constructions for Teonaht. Irish and Scots Gaelic
present new challenges!

As I said before, the Celtic languages are a goldmine for weird ways of
talking around things.  And I think Irish has kept some of the oldest
features of Indo-European, shared only with Sanskrit.  Geoff's eager to
know who else is developing Celtic elements in their languages.

Hello to everyone on conlang! I'm a conlang enthusiast who, due to
limitations of time and money, browses the archives rather than using
the mailing list properly.

Further to Sally's recent musings about Celtic-influenced conlangs, I'd
like to tell you about my own. What I have is a Q-Celtic proto-language
and several descendant languages; currently on the Web is a
half-finished (pronunciation, most of the grammar and some syntax)
description of the proto-language. As far as I know, this is the only
Q-Celtic-influenced conlang on the Web; if anyone knows of any others
let me know.

very interested to hear any comments/suggestions anyone might have.
There isn't much on the descendant languages yet; I'll put some more
